WHY THE I.C.C.E?
THE PROBLEM
The African American Community in general and the African American Church Community specifically are in need of opportunities for economic growth.
In addition our youth are experiencing disparate educational outcomes. There are not enough programs and initiatives focused on addressing these critical issues.
THE SOLUTION
According to the 2017 Census Bureau’s Current Population Survey, “For every $100 in wealth accumulated by White families, the average Black family only accumulated $5.04 in 2017”
Possible reasons for this include limited access to opportunities and wealth gaps.​
WHY NOW?
We must re-establish our position and work as a church that impacts our members and the community via innovative strategies and initiatives.
